Every child arrives with a world inside them. We help them speak it in two languages.
Spanish Playgroup Pre K is a bilingual early learning community in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood, where children build confidence, curiosity, and a second language through guided play, creative exploration, and meaningful connection.
Spanish Playgroup Pre K was founded on a simple conviction: the youngest minds are naturally equipped for bilingualism, and the gift of a second language is best given through joy, not pressure.
Located at 414 W Howe St in Seattle's Phinney Ridge, our program serves children ages 2½ to 5 in a nurturing, structured environment where Spanish is the language of daily life — not a subject to study, but a medium through which children explore, create, and connect.
Our educators are trained in early childhood development and immersion language pedagogy. Every day is designed around play-based learning, social-emotional growth, and the kind of rich oral language exposure that research shows builds lasting cognitive and linguistic advantage.

Our Approach
Play is the work of childhood. Language is the tool.
We don't teach Spanish as a subject. We create an environment where Spanish is the natural medium of discovery — the language of the block corner, the art table, the garden, and the circle time story.
01
Immersive Language Environment
Spanish is spoken consistently throughout the day by trained educators. Children acquire the language the way they acquired their first — through meaningful interaction, not translation or drills.
02
Play-Based Curriculum
Every activity is designed around developmental best practices. Children learn through guided play, hands-on exploration, and purposeful creativity — the methods recognized by early childhood research as most effective.
03
Whole-Child Development
Language is only one dimension. We nurture social-emotional skills, executive function, physical development, and creative expression — building the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
